| 13 of 13 people found the following review helpful  #1 indoor mini RC Heli for 2010, By = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Steel Frame 3-Channel RTF Radio Controlled RC Helicopter (Toy) The Phantom 6010 is the #1 indoor mini RC Heli for 2010.IMO better then the Syma S107 because: Once trimmed it hovers hands free unlike the Syma which has a spring loaded lift control toggle, that you must keep your thumb on at all times; It is lighter weight giving you longer flying time of 10-12 minutes vs 7-10 min for the Syma; Recharge time is shorter then the Syma, 20-25 minutes vs 40-50 minutes; and Flyes faster then the Syma via the "Turbo" button which increases tail motor RPM giving greater angle of attack and therefore higher forward speed. Like the Syma the 6010 features metal frame, ion battery, two counter rotating blades and gyro. Both helis can take alot of abuse and spare parts are available. Both can be charged via USB cable or from the controller. The Syma S107 is an excellent mini RC heli, but in 2010 IMO it is #2 just behind the 6010 for the reasons listed above. Buy it if you plan on flying more models.Buy the S107 if it is your first heli or if it is a gift for someone else. It is the easier more basic bet. The Phantom does not come with an AC or USB charger like the S107 does. Boo You have to charge the Phantom via the controller. The Phantom will hover better because it does not have a spring loaded throttle. However a spring loaded throttle is idiot proof. Phantom seems to have faster lift but slower forward flight than the S107. Very sensitive to airflow, do not fly outdoors. The S107 is easier to fly and slightly more durable, but if you graduate to a bigger better heli you will wish you started on the phantom. I have been trying to fly helicopters for over a quarter century with no luck. Big RC jobs to small foam ones. A crash every time. I can fly RC airplanes with the best of them, but copters eluded me.I had success right out of the box with this one. The gyro makes the copter heading as steady as a rock. I'm pleased that I can finaly fly the things. Flight times are about 10 minutes. Couple of points to keep in mind. A. It's only for indoors, in a room that is mostly open. B. It takes a little time to master the height when flying. A very light touch is all that is needed. C. I've crashed a few times, but nothing broke. D. This is an important note..There are plenty of places on the Internet to find replacement parts if needed. E. 6 AA battries are required for the transmiter (not included).
